By the Morning Light

This artwork is 12" x 18" and multimedia with ceramic leaves sewn onto the collaged and painted canvas. I bought the paper in Japan in 2004. I painted it with acrylic and ripped it into pieces for the collage. I also used clothing pattern tissue on the canvas. Here you can see some of the process in the beginning:

I arranged the ceramic leaves on a second canvas to see where I would want to put them, that way I could arrange the paper and paint on the canvas to fit the following layer of ceramics.
